PERFECT FOR : a family or group looking for a social place close to the village centre.
THE BUILDING : recently renovated, has 4 floors and is home to about 10 individual apartments. La Terrasse is on the 1st floor and is accessed via a wide staircase inside the building.
INSIDE : is a minimal but cosy feel with new furniture throughout and original artwork on the walls. It has 3 bedrooms, a family bathroom and an ensuite shower room. There is a central corridor running along the apartment. On the right as you enter, is the small bunk room, (the room is small but the single beds are full size singles – ok for adults, as well as children) with access onto the large roof terrace. Next on the right is a double bedroom and opposite this, on the left of the corridor, is the family bathroom with bath (shower overhead) and WC. Next on the right is the large lounge and kitchen/diner, and opposite this, on the left of the corridor is a utility room with washer/dryer. At the end of the corridor is the master bedroom with an ensuite shower and WC.
OUTSIDE : you can enjoy spectacular mountain views all round, from the large roof terrace, lounging on the sofa or from the dining table, where you can enjoy outside dining and make use of the coal BBQ. There is a second small balcony on the opposite side of the apartment facing the Les Houches ski slopes.
GREAT LOCATION : for families and beginner skiers as it’s just moments away from the small Tourchet ski slope (which has night skiing each Thursday in the winter school holidays) and the external ice rink. Here you can also eat and drink at the Solerey micro-brewery. Just a few minutes walk from here you reach the centre of the Les Houches village, and all its amenities.
GETTING AROUND : is easy with the bus stop just outside on the main road, and the train station is only a few minutes walk away. Buses are free with your ski pass/lift pass, or you can buy tickets online in advance or on the bus. Chamonix Holidays will provide your group with tourist cards (Carte d’hotes), which give you free travel on the local train service plus discounts at the pool and entry to museums. Night bus’s run between Argentiere and Les Houches and cost 4€ per person.

This compact apartment offers incredible views of the surrounding landscape thanks to the elevated position. The garden is a great place to enjoy the beautiful sunset or watch the kids toboggan in complete security. This property has two double bedrooms, a bunk bed room and a bathroom with a shower. The open plan living room, dining room and kitchen caters for the whole party and in the summer you can open up the french doors and enjoy an aperitif on the terrace with a clear view over Les Houches. This great property makes a wonderful base for both summer and winter holidays. The apartment has a double sofa bed in the living room should you need to sleep a couple more, and an underground garage and ski locker if you decide to bring your car. PERFECT FOR : A couple or family looking for a tranquil stay in the foothills of Les Houches. Ideal for 4 with additional sleeping for up to 2 people. Located a quick 10 minute drive from the centre of Chamonix and its bars, restaurants and shops. This lovely apartment is a great base for family and friends for both summer and winter holidays, with quick access to the Les Houches ski lifts and incredible hikes on your doorstep. THE BUILDING : Your accommodation is a ground floor chalet style apartment with its own garden, set within a small complex of holiday accommodations in a beautiful location. INSIDE : This self contained property has classic alpine décor with wood panelling, double height lounge and stylish windows. As you enter you will find the master bedroom and ensuite shower/ WC to the right and the children's bunk room to the left. The family bathroom is next on the left hand side. The kitchen diner and living space encompasses the rest of the apartment. There are patio doors to the garden area and decking with BBQ and seating. There are two bedrooms, one double bed room and one bunk bedroom (bed size 190cm X 80cm)) plus extra sleeping arrangements in the communal area if you need to sleep a couple more. Bathroom facilities include a shower room with a sink and WC, and an extra WC off the double bedroom with a washbasin. OUTSIDE : The outside offers you a private green space to relax and enjoy the view of the Mont Blanc range, You are a short walk away from the Pain De Chibon where every Wednesday you can buy freshly baked bread and regional specialties meats and cheeses. GREAT LOCATION : You can walk down the hill to the bus stop which provides regular free bus transport to the whole valley including the nearby ski lifts in Les Houches. Local facilities like the large Super U market are nearby along the main road. GETTING AROUND : If you do not have a vehicle there are local buses departing regularly from the main road, which is 10 minutes walk down the hill, so longer coming up. Ski lifts in les Houches are a further 5 minutes by bus. Chamonix Holidays will provide your group with tourist cards/Carte d’hotes which give you free use of the trains in the valley, plus discounts at the pool and entry to museums. A night bus also runs from Argentiere to Les Houches and costs 4€ per person. USEFUL BITS : Of course, there is WiFi, provided by Orange, it is not fibre (yet) but it is a pretty good service. If you need to book a transfer from Geneva Airport we recommend Haute Transfer, Mountain Drop Offs and Swiss Tours. We can help organise ski passes so that they are waiting for you when you arrive.
