Doing a season in Chamonix will be a choice you will not regret. This alpine town has a great social scene to go along with some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Alps.

Chamonix is the perfect base for a winter season in the mountains. There are 5 ski areas all easily accessible and covered under 1 lift pass. They are Brevent, Flegere, Grands Montets, Le Tour/Vallorcine and Les Houches. You also have the fantastic addition of being 30 minutes away from the Mont Blanc Evasion ski area and Courmayeur which is all accessible with the Mont Blanc Unlimited pass – this is really a serious skier’s dream selection of resorts.

The town itself has a fantastic multicultural, ex-pat and seasonnaire community but while still feeling traditionally French. There are many job opportunities in the Valley however it is also easily commutable from Geneva if you are looking at jobs in Switzerland. You can find jobs on in the local forums but we would advise coming into town to speak with companies, shops & restaurants directly.
